This expansion comes as part of JYSK’s continued growth, with the brand already well established in Belleville at Highway 62 and the 401. The 21,000+ square-foot Trenton location will bring new jobs to the area while offering shoppers affordable, modern home furnishings in a sleek, updated showroom format.

JYSK has been steadily expanding in Canada, celebrating 29 years in the country after opening its first store in Coquitlam, BC, in 1996. According to Quinte News, signage for the store was first spotted in early 2024, fueling local speculation. A manager from the Belleville JYSK location also confirmed the expansion in a discussion on the TRENTON ONTARIO ROCKS Facebook group.
When Will It Open?
An official opening date has yet to be announced, but given the retailer’s rapid expansion, Trenton shoppers can expect doors to open later this year.
