Quinte West, ON – January 28, 2025 – The 4th annual O’Quinn Team Kitchen Party achieved an incredible milestone by raising a net amount of $500,000 for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Emergency Expansion. Held on the evening of January 25 at the RCAF Museum in Trenton, this event brought the community together in the spirit of Newfoundland’s cherished tradition.
Guests enjoyed an unforgettable evening filled with music, connection, and unity, all in support of a cause that is vital to the future of healthcare in Trenton.
A Word from Lorraine O’Quinn
Lorraine O’Quinn, the main event organizer and proud Newfoundlander, shared her thoughts on the night’s success. “Tom (Lorraine’s husband) and I are proud Newfoundlanders…. Newfoundlanders have always leaned into their sense of community,” she said. “On Saturday, we carried that spirit forward with hope, determination, and love for each other. Together, we turned a dream into a reality.”
Lorraine took a moment to express her gratitude to the sponsors, auction donors, attendees, and volunteers who made the night possible. “Thank you for making this night so beautiful. This success wouldn’t have been possible without you,” she added.

With the Trenton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room handling around 35,000 visits annually and patient numbers continuing to rise, the funds raised will be used to improve patient flow, infection control, and create better spaces for vulnerable patients.
