Sam Gagner Joins the Belleville Sens on Professional Tryout

🏒 Big news for hockey fans in the Bay of Quinte! The Belleville Senators have signed veteran forward Sam Gagner to a professional tryout (PTO).

Gagner, a 35-year-old from London, Ontario, brings a wealth of experience to the team. A sixth-overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, he’s played over 1,000 NHL games with an impressive 529 points (197 goals, 332 assists). His journey through the NHL includes stints with the Oilers, Coyotes, Flyers, Blue Jackets, Canucks, Red Wings, and Jets.

Last season, Gagner split his time between the Oilers and their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, tallying 10 points in 28 NHL games and 9 points in 15 AHL games. His international résumé includes a gold medal at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championship and a silver at the 2008 IIHF World Championship.

Gagner is expected to hit the ice tonight as the Belleville Sens take on the Hershey Bears (affiliate of the Washington Capitals) at CAA Arena. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m., so don’t miss it!
